Wishing a happy Mother’s Day and the first clock-day of British Summer Time to all who celebrate, though in Glasgow we’ll wait a while yet for the weather to catch up. I wrote a wee bit about that last week while reflecting on an anniversary very different from the one that – today – throws shade on all others:
