Asking “What Now?" as we rattle roughshod over the peaks and troughs of perimenopausal post-therapy midlife
Facilitating your therapeutic journaling + memoir-writing journey in joyous community
Hi friends,
This week’s dispatch is newsy. I’ve got a couple of links to share with you about upcoming live sessions and I also want to send you off on your virtual travels to visit another few publications that you otherwise might miss.
First up, our Seasonal Session for midsummer is happening this Thursday 19th June 8-9pm UK time. We’re in the micro season of rain-soaked roses, will be pulling an oracle card and hearing a seasonal reading, all of which will feed some journaling and intention-setting as we hover around the solstice. The Zoom link is in the Membership Hub and I’ll pop it in a Chat thread for members midweek, too.
You can upgrade any time you like before Thursday to join us. It’s open to any paid member: monthly, annual or founding.
Next, I’m hosting a pre-project call for writers taking part in The Chain on Tuesday 1st July 8pm UK time. It’ll be recorded for anyone who can’t come live and sent out the following day. It’s really just a chance for us all to meet one another (in whatever way works for you); share our hopes for the six weeks; shake off any nerves and for you to ask questions. The Zoom link for this will be sent by email for the 30 of you taking part.
Come with me on a virtual trip into Substackland
When I look at my stats I see that the majority of you are reading in your email, so it makes me wonder whether you’ve dipped your toes in the ever-swelling waters of Substackland. Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been interviewed for two publications on what it really looks like to be a (mother) writer. You’re most likely subscribed to me for memoir craft stuff or the messy realness that is trying to live a creative life with caring responsibilities and so, much as I love answering thoughtful questions, I’m sharing these posts because I think you’ll like what both publications offer more generally.
Over on
, and Zoe Gilbert run the best creative writing courses around, while the tireless burns the midnight oil at (though with her CV and her 10 kids, frankly I don’t know where she finds the time for ANYTHING). Bravi, tutti.See you Thursday night?
