Well, I am just getting round to listening to this now and what can I say...? It is just so wonderful! Such an interesting and thoughtful conversation that has uplifted me this morning when I am so tired. I have known Annette since our early blogging days when we were both writing about our family adventures and raising kids to love the earth and I can honestly say that her writing, photography, friendship and the conversations we have enrich my life so much! I love this idea of advocacy as a fifth option. It is just so inspiring to watch conversations like this and to know that others are on similar journeys, unlearning, learning new ways to navigate these times we live in. We do indeed live on an 'astonishingly beautiful planet' Annette... thanks for this ladies! (p.s. Lindsay... wonderful interviewing skills and your glorious accent brought me right back to my childhood. My dad is a Paisley man and your accent is so like me wee Granny's)

Kelly, wow, just wow! If listening to Lindsay and me chatting uplifted you, know that reading your comment has left me walking on air for the entire day! Thank you thank you thank you so much my friend xx (And you're right to highlight Lindsay's interviewing skills: she makes it so natural and effortless for the interviewee, and it just flows.)

Kelly, this is such a generous comment and I am delighted that you enjoyed our chat. It's been one of my absolute favourites of the series because I think we managed to get really quite deep into things remarkably quickly for two people who had only recently met online... kindred souls. Annette's writing and approach to life is so special, I agree. She really encouraged me to think more deeply about my relationship to activism as a parent, and I'm still thinking, to be honest... And your wee granny! So happy to be ale to whisk you back to Scotland's west coast! Hope to connect with you further now we've found one another!

This was such a beautiful listen. I could feel my breathing slow and deepen just listening to you talk about your swimming Annette and how it enables you to come home to you. I also really loved the part of the conversation where you talked about being a French woman living in Ireland, how your children have responded differently to being and speaking French and this idea of being a different person in each country. So, so rich. Thank you Lindsay for some great questions, and to you Anette for such thoughtful answers.

This is utterly gorgeous! What a pairing, and what a moving look at caring and activism, how we bring our wee ones up and the way the natural world can be part of their core x

Loved listening to this conversation and it sparked so much for me! I’ll write more tomorrow. G’nite, Lindsay and Annette! For some reason responding on my iPhone isn’t letting me link your names tonight. But thank you for so much inspiration and so much that resonates! ✨🥰

This was so rich, I listened while packing to leave our home on the Irish Sea and head to the Orkneys - I now defo have the togs packed Annette ;-) it's so lovely to hear your voice you're a true maighdean mara/selkie & you too Lindsay! From the healing powers of the sea to speaking our mother tongue to our role as mothers, as carers... it was liberating to hear you both speak about the way we do activism and the reframe towards care & love, I've been reflecting on this too on tending to the Anima Mundi, the soul of the world. What a cauldron you brewed - thanks a million!

Oh this is just lovely, Jennifer! And what an adventure for you – you are going to love the swimming. We go to Shetland most summers as my husband's family are from there. Never been to Orkney, though we also have family in Kirkwall so surely we're long overdue?? Thank you so much for listening.x
