Off-Grid Voices
On Wednesday last week, I published a guest post on #vanlife for
, a Belgian living in an off-grid tiny house in New Zealand. On her publication, This is Sophie Today, she writes about leading two lives – the busy professional and the rewilded soul –and I would recommend you hop on over and read all about it. This post was part of her Off Grid Voices series:Women, unhinged
On Friday night, I was in conversation again with
, and on our midlife bodies, HRT, libido and all the other hot topics we ran out of time for during our first live chat last month. It was incredible to have a gang of you join us and chip in / contain us, and we’ll be back with a conversation on (festive / midlife) rage on Wednesday 11th December so get that date in your diaries and catch up on Friday here:And now for something mega exciting happening on Thursday
An Introduction to using the I Ching (Book of Changes) with
If you’re curious about the ancient Chinese divination text, the I Ching, and how it can support decision making, come and join this interactive online workshop. Sasha Neal – who has been learning about and consulting the I Ching for 25 years – will talk about the history of the book and how its wisdom is used as a tool for guidance. She will explain how to use the coin method of generating hexagrams with step by step instructions. Participants will then have the chance to ask their own questions of the I Ching, with Sasha on hand to offer reflections on the answers. Information about translations and online resources will be shared.
You’ll need pen, paper and three of the same coins, and it’s helpful to have in mind a question or dilemma you’d like guidance on.
I met Sasha earlier this year when she joined me for an episode of The Cost of Caring series. You might know her from Instagram where she created a community for carers of those with forms of Dementia on her account, Dementia’s Daughter. We chatted about this and much more, so if you missed that chat listen wherever you get your podcasts by searching for What Now? with Lindsay Johnstone or click on this Spotify link to take you straight there. If you want to watch us, here’s the post:
